Forged in the tumultuous DIY scenes of Phoenix and Tempe, Arizona in the early 2010s, Squalor in the Year of Back Magic is a garage rock and blues punk-infused bottle rocket of reckless abandon. Between raucous sweaty house shows, a smattering of nation-spanning DIY tours, and various lineup changes, Red Tank! had laid down yelps and electrified riffs that have moved bodies and minds alike. This is the album that started it all. Crack a cold one, put on your coolest jacket, and play it loud. Travel back to a time and place like no other---- when there was squalor in the year of black magic.
